Well, I'm sure some of you have heard by now... there's going to be a Delirium TV series! Of course, everyone's speculating who's going to play the lead characters - Lena and Alex. Well, the book world (and the TV world now that's going to be a TV series) has exploded with the news that they have found their Lena.

*drum roll*

...
...

It's Emma Roberts.

Now, I don't know what to feel about this. As I said when people get cast in book-to-movie/TV series adaptation, I'd wait until I watch the show before saying anything. I've learned my lesson from the past movies and TV series *cough*TheSecretCircle*cough*.

Ditto about the casting in Vampire Academy.

In other news...

Now that The Chemical Garden trilogy is coming to a close what with Sever coming out on February 12, we have another series from Lauren Destefano to look forward to

The Internment Chronicles

This time, it is not dystopian but utopian (from which dystopian is an offshoot).

The first novel is called

Perfect Ruin

which will be out on February 2014

On Internment, the floating island in the clouds where 15-year-old Morgan Stockhour lives, getting too close to the edge can lead to madness. Even though Morgan's older brother, Lex, was a Jumper, Morgan vows never to end up like him. She tries her best not to mind that her life is orderly and boring, and if she ever wonders about the ground, and why it is forbidden, she takes solace in best friend Pen and her betrothed, Basil.

Then a murder, the first in a generation, rocks the city. With whispers swirling and fear on the wind, Morgan can no longer stop herself from investigating, especially when she meets Judas. He is the boy being blamed for the murder — betrothed to the victim — but Morgan is convinced of his innocence. Secrets lay at the heart of Internment, but nothing can prepare Morgan for what she will find — or who she will lose.

What's more, one of my favorite authors, Julie Kagawa, just signed a deal with Universal Pictures!

As you know, Julie's going to have a new book series which is going to come out on 2015 (the first book that is).

Well, that unwritten book series is going to be a movie.

And Chris Morgan, writer of the Fast & the Furious, is the producer.

  1. I misunderstood the first time I heard of Delirium. I thought they meant a movie, but seeing is series I'm excited! I just started reading the book and so far I'm liking it.
But I do like TV series better than movies.
