The Feature & Follow is hosted by TWO hosts, Parajunkee of Parajunkee’s View and Alison of Alison Can Read. Each host will have their own Feature Blog and this way it’ll allow us to show off more new blogs!

Hello there fellow bloggers! *waves* Two weeks left till Halloween. Are you excited?

Today's Feature & Follow Friday question is:

What are some of your favorite magazines?

I used to love reading Reader's Digest. My family has been subscribing for years since ever. The earliest Reader's Digest I found in the house was dated 1937. But we canceled our subscription when my grandfather (from whom I inherited my love of reading) died since he was first and foremost the one who was reading it faithfully in the first place. We continued to buy it monthly of course but my fondness for it lessened in the last two years because the content was pretty much going stale and uninteresting. Still, it remains one of my favorites by the merits of the earlier issues.

I have to confess that I've never looked or picked up a Reader's Digest...But I'm amazed by your loyalty to this magazine!

  6. It's kind of amazing that you still had a magazine from 1937! I have never had a subscription to any magazine and don't really read them at all if I'm honest.

  7. I've always wanted to get into reading "Reader's Digest", but in the end I think it'll be secondary to reading lit-blogs, which is more my style by the way. I think it's great that you kept those earlier issues, a copy from 1937 that is something to hang on to. Did the topics of those earlier issues differ greatly from what they're publishing now?

    Cheers, Katarina :)
