Zombies then. Zombies. It has become increasingly popular and prolific that a zombie apocalypse will start with a single, deadly virus - unknown origins, unknown genetic makeup - unlike sometime ago when zombies came out from graves - complete with raised arms, rotting flesh and putrid smell. Maybe as the world is increasingly becoming more... /scientific/ and not as inclined to supernatural causes and reasons then it would reflect in the world's media and literature.
