THE BOOK I COMMITTED TO READ:
Well, it's my turn to have a disastrous week. I tried to read The Devil Wears Prada earlier this week but I just got about 50 pages into the book before I lost interest. I said to myself that I would read try to read again later that day but I just couldn't manage to muster enough interest to do it. After that, I was busy applying for jobs seeing as I have a lighter load this semester. What I hadn't banked on was that I would receive a call from one of the companies I applied in the afternoon, just seven hours after I sent them my application. And I panicked because the interview was the next day. I had an impromptu shopping spree since my slacks didn't fit me anymore. *sigh* What a week.

I did manage to read another Nancy Drew book, The Spider Sapphire Mystery. I would read Ordained this weekend since the blog tour is next week. I would also read Sputnik Sweetheart by Haruki Murakami as an assigned reading for a subject at school. I would admit that reading this particular book would seem like a task to me since I don't really like it when I'm pressured to read something I didn't particularly sought out to read. But who knows, I might end up liking it like what happened when we were assigned to read State of War by Ninotchka Rosca back in English Lit.

  2. I tried reading The Devil Wears Prada a couple years ago but failed to have interest in finishing it. (I confess I'd rather just watch the movie...)

  3. Gosh, you had me laughing! "Well, it's my turn to have a disastrous week." LOL. What can I say? I CAN TOTALLY RELATE to that! It seemed like we're taking turns, don't you think? I hope Dani won't MIND AT ALL, and I hope she won't kick us out (*GRINS). Anyway, GOOD LUCK with your job hunting and interviews. You can nail it. Good luck with your books too =)
