The Goddess Test
by Aimee Carter
Publication Date: April 26, 2011

Synopsis from Goodreads:
It's always been just Kate and her mom—and her mother is dying. Her last wish? To move back to her childhood home. So Kate's going to start at a new school with no friends, no other family and the fear her mother won't live past the fall.
Then she meets Henry. Dark. Tortured. And mesmerizing. He claims to be Hades, god of the Underworld—and if she accepts his bargain, he'll keep her mother alive while Kate tries to pass seven tests.
Kate is sure he's crazy—until she sees him bring a girl back from the dead. Now saving her mother seems crazily possible. If she succeeds, she'll become Henry's future bride, and a goddess.

I've already read this - an ARC courtesy of NetGalley. And I super loved it! Watch out for my review sometime this week. I'm still trying to pen my thoughts about the book.

Even though I've already read it, I want the real, solid book that I can feel with my hands. So, I'll be scouring the bookstores at the end of the month. I hope our bookstores here in the country will carry it.

On another note, my laptop has gone kaput! NOOOOO!!! My unread ARCs!!! My files!!! My research papers!!! My music!!! My games!!! *cries*

Therefore, dear readers, I can't update as often as I want to this summer. But, I'll try... *whispers: my books...*

I may be able to replace it when I go back to Manila at the end of the month. *crosses fingers* I was able to scrap some small savings.

And my other WoW for this week:

  2. @Lindsay Quite a suggestion but I can't and I won't. I think my savings can cover the cost of a new laptop.
