I finished watching å¤©å¤–飞仙/Tian Wai Fei Xian (The Little Fairy) today at five o' clock in the morning.  I confess it was a little hurried since i fast-forward till the last episodes - I was dying to know if they would end up together.  By the last episode, my tears were flowing steadily and I was hiccuping like crazy!  This is the first television series where I cried like there's no tomorrow.  I don't know, everything just got to me: the building of the climax where Dong Yong braved a lot of odds to climb to heaven and confronting the Emperor, convincing him about the love he had for Xiao Qi, to the wedding and then to the "We're going to have a little Sweet Potato!" and then finding out that they only have 100 days to be together.  Xiao Qi never returned to earth after she went to heaven and the gods just sent their son to live with his father on earth.

Waaahhhhh!!!!

Then, the very last scene where a young man, who was the reincarnation of Dong Yong was walking the streets of Shanghai, where he saw a reincarnated Xiao Qi!

And I only slept for three hours after that.

This drama is a retelling of the well-known love story between a goddess and a mortal.

Goddess Xiao Qi commits a major crime. She is punished by having her powers stripped away and is banished to the mortal realm. She can only regain her goddess status by accomplishing 100 charitable acts. Dong Yong rescues her and teaches her what it's like to be a mortal. However, she also learns how to love even though love is forbidden between goddesses and mortals. When their love affair is discovered, heavenly guards descend onto the mortal realm to separate the two lovers. However, they are willing to do anything to stay together.
