Confession: This is the first time I've read a Lords of the Underworld and a 1001 Dark Nights book. I mean, I've read Gena Showalter's Alice in Zombieland before and I've featured a few 1001 Dark Nights on the blog over the years... However, yes, this is my first adult Gena Showalter book and 1001 Dark Night book.

And it's glorious.

And one novella with more intense buildup and foreplay in ever.

As the blurb said, this novella is the perfect introduction for new readers not only to an author's writing world but an out-and-out preview to a rich PNR world.

For veterans, it's almost like an indulgence, where you're going to be spoiled by the sizzling romance with a side plot that recalls why you fell in love with the series in the first place.

This action-packed novella has convinced me to get and read the rest of the series.

P.S.This story is a standalone so the romance was also fast-paced. But, in her place, I would have Bjorn grovel a little longer.
