Book bloggers unable to attend the BEA Bloggers Conference or Book Expo America (BEA) in Chicago, but would like to ‘meet’ other book bloggers and publishers to discuss books and book blogging can participate in this virtual event.
Introductions

I am... Myrtle aka Ayanami Faerudo. Ayanami Faerudo comes from the surname I made up for a character in a story. That story is still languishing in my head. Oops.

Currently, I am plowing through time traveling OC/Hermione/female Harry Potter fanfiction. I think it's been over two weeks since I've read an actual book. FANFICTION!

My favorite genres are fantasy and paranormal. If I'm going to escape reality, might as well go to infinity and beyond.

My buddy Konica is in Supergirl hell. She watched the first SuperFlash crossover episode and she agreed that Barry and Kara has chemistry! Sadly, she's introduced to Mon-El and is firmly on his team. I'm still Team Karry.

My social media links include: Instagram, Twitter, Goodreads, Tumblr, and Pinterest. Stalk me! Wahahaha!
What are your plans for the summer? How high is your TBR pile?

  1. Happy ABE! It says you live in Thedas. Where is that? I'm in the American south and it's already SO hot.

    1. OMG! XD Thedas is a continent in the Dragon Age video games, which I love. Hehehe.

I am from the Philippines. Our summer is officially over and the start of the rainy season has already been declared.

  3. Hey Myrtle! Happy to *meet* you! I have so many weddings to attend this summer...it's absolutely insane. I'm looking forward to them all, but my weekends are pretty booked already! I am planning to take a week long stay-cation though, where I will mostly just sit and read! :)

My TBR pile is currently out of control...I have so many books from the library stacked up that I will be reading through first, then I have my thrift shop finds, and a whole slew of ebooks that authors have sent me for an honest review. Phew!

  4. Love this intro and the last one about Supergirl is hilarious. I still need to watch them, I stopped bc I couldn't keep up with them on live TV. :/

  5. Since you like Harry Potter — you might like Dragon's Green by Scarlett Thomas. I'm reading it right now and wow!

  6. Happy Armchair Book Expo! I'm also a Harry Potter fan, but otherwise I have a hard time reading fantasy. My TBR is huge and ever-growing. I'd like to make a sizable dent this summer, but we'll see what happens.

  10. I love fanfiction. Sometimes it's hard to balance reading actual books with reading fanfiction. Haha.

And my summer plans are actually moving to Japan. I leave in July!
