Bloodcraft
Bloodspell #2
Amalie Howard
Publication Date: December 15, 2015
Genre: YA Paranormal
All magic has its price, and no one knows that better than Victoria Warrick. Gifted with a centuries-old blood curse, Tori has finally learned to master her blood’s demands and has emerged triumphant with Christian Devereux, a vampire overlord, at her side.

But the worst is yet to come …

In the infamous City of Lights, home to both the Witch Clans and the Vampire Council, Tori enrolls at the exclusive Belles Fontaines school in Paris, where she is faced with a devastating choice: choose Christian and be an outcast, or choose the coven and secure her place with the witches.

When the fate of the supernatural world is targeted by a sinister new threat, Christian and Victoria must unite their two warring species to defeat it. Their bond will be tested, twisted, and sorely weakened, and Tori will find herself in uncharted territory—a dangerous place to be when her blood’s magic has its own dark agenda.

But to save them all, she may have no choice but to invoke its deadly power.
I have read Bloodspell a long time ago and I have to read a little recap (or do a reread altogether) before I dive into Bloodcraft.

The Raven Boys (Raven Cycle #1) by Maggie Stiefvater
The Dream Thieves (Raven Cycle #2) by Maggie Stiefvater

It's that time of year again when Scholastic puts together a Christmas Warehouse Sale that lasts for one month. If it was a warehouse sale, why did I just took home these two books? Well, aside from these two, I also bought something for my goddaughter. And I just bought these two since they're the only books I was interested in and I wanted physical copies (e-books girl here). Granted, it was only the first day and the lady clerk said that they might add more in the next few weeks. I may go back. XD

For Review

I like Egypt. I love ancient Egypt. When I was applying for college, I wanted to major in archaeology. I didn't get what I wanted because 1) They didn't have an undergraduate program; 2) My mother dissuaded me since it was not practical. So, I enrolled in a program that's a little more practical and would satisfy my want to travel. I still haven't utilized that degree. There is a graduate program but "[maybe] only with a history, anthropology, etc... undergraduate degree." Bummer. But I have books! Nyahahaha!

From NetGalley
The Vanishing Throne (The Falconer #2) by Elizabeth May
Thief of Lies (Library Jumpers #1) by Brenda Drake
Girl of Myth and Legend (The Chosen Saga #1) by Giselle Simlett

It's like one of those days and your trigger button-happy and you just want to read. Nevermind that I have books still lined up waiting to be read. But who could refuse The Vanishing Throne???
