The Feature & Follow is hosted by TWO hosts, Parajunkee of Parajunkee’s View and Alison of Alison Can Read. Each host will have their own Feature Blog and this way it’ll allow us to show off more new blogs!

Almost a month after Typhoon Haiyan, we're slowly recovering. Electricity has been restored, telecommunication lines are being repaired, prices are slowly returning to normal, and the lines at the gasoline station are no more. As of this writing, the sun's rays are beating down on our bare heads as if it is summer. I would believe that if not for the cold nights and even colder early mornings.

Anyway, with life returning to normal, it is also time to return to normal blogging. Mostly. I still don't have a decent internet connection and probably not for the next month except when I get back to the city.

Today's Feature & Follow Friday question is:
Tell us at least one new or unusual thing you've done in 2013.

2013 was a lazy year. Aside from completing my comprehensive exams, nothing unusual whatsoever happened. If you count me reading more than a hundred books this year then it is quite new for me since I usually read only a hundred or below.

Oh, here's something: I finally ate balut. A kind of street food common in the Philippines, it is a developing duck embryo that is boiled alive and eaten in the shell.
