Booking Through Thursday (9) - Fluff

Thursday, August 18, 2011

Booking Through Thursday is a weekly meme (mostly) about books and reading.

The BTT question of the week is:

You've just had a long, hard, exhausting day, and all you want to do is curl up with something light, fun, easy, fluffy, distracting, and entertaining.

What book do you pick up?
I pick up something that is familiar and I've read before like one of the books of the Harry Potter series, Unfinished Tales, Nancy Drew or one of Jude Deveraux's or Nora Roberts' books. They're not really easy nor light but they take me to an alternative world of make-believe where I can escape the daily grind.

However, nowadays, I'm on the fanfiction wagon particularly Harry Potter - a female Harry Potter.

  1. That's a good response! The whole idea of escaping daily life thru a book is one of the reasons I choose to read.

  2. I am not a re-reader of books, so I always am reading something new, however, when I am tired or in a book reading slump, I lean toward a light romance book.

  3. I remember one year when I needed a little distraction from final exams - I think I read 25 Nancy Drew books over the course of 2 weeks! They were like potato chips!

  4. Haven't read Nancy Drew since I was in middle school. Loved them back then! Love the green btw :)
